Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel brought his world championship hopes alive again with a superb victory in Japan on Sunday afternoon, winning as he pleased and leading Jarno Trulli’s Toyota home by 4.8s despite a late safety car intervention. Lewis Hamilton was third for McLaren, another 1.5s adrift, after losing out to Trulli in the second pit stops.

2008 V8 Supercar Champion, Jamie Whincup, will be the first four-wheel Aussie to compete in the 21-year history of the Race of Champions.

The TeamVodafone driver is one of 16 drivers from a number of motorsport categories that will take part in the November 2-4 event at the Bird’s Nest in Beijing.

Whincup, 26, will be put to the ultimate test, competing in a variety of cars over the course of the event.

Robert Collard, the last driver to win a British Touring Car Championship race on Brands Hatch’s full-length Grand Prix lay-out, is hoping for a repeat of that success when the HiQ-backed series revisits the world-famous Kent circuit this Sunday (4 Oct).

The fight to win the UK’s most coveted motor racing series – the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship – will come down to a thrilling three-way title-decider at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in Kent on Sunday 4 October.

2010 will see four new teams join the Formula One grid. Alongside Manor Grand Prix, Team US and Campos Meta, the revitalized paddock will also see one the sport’s most famous names return to the fold - Lotus, the result of a partnership between the Malaysian government and a consortium of Malaysian entrepreneurs.
